The Commonwealth of Australia, as represented by the Department of Defence, is seeking to establish a Panel to provide domestic and international linguist support services to operations. Strategic requirements under this Panel are likely to be in support of military Exercises, Operations and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster relief within Australia and overseas. Services required under the Panel are anticipated to include : a. Consecutive interpretation into and from English / target languages; b. Written translation of general and technical material into and from English / target languages; c. Interpreting aptitude of non-English first-language persons, including the ability to determine I maintain the integrity and meaning of material; and d. Transcription of aural target languages material into either English / target language written form. A request for tender for the Linguist Support to Operations Standing Offer for Services is anticipated to be released through AusTender in late October 2025, or shortly thereafter. Prospective tenderers are encouraged to review their notification settings in AusTender to ensure notification of further updates in relation to the request for tender. This notice, and the information contained within, supersedes the pre-notification to industry previously published on 21 July 2025.
