Lifting & Rigging Inspections & Height Safety Equipment
Townsville City Council (the Principal) is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to assist Council in the inspections, installation, maintenance and repair of height safety systems across multiple Council Locations.The Contractor will be required to provide goods suitable for use with the height safety systems currently in place, and as part of any inspections, identify when goods are required to be replaced under the relevant Australian Standards, Regulations and Legislation and to ensure they function on demand and to the manufacturers specifications including any relevant Australian Standards, Codes of Practice and Regulations.Other requirements of this scope, will be for the Contractor to undertake routine inspections of the Principals height safety systems and lifting & rigging systems across all sites. Inspections will identify equipment which needs replacing under relevant Standard which govern those items.The Contractor must be able to inspect and certify any items or equipment regardless of who the initial Contractor was, and the Principal will assist where possible, to provide relevant documentation.
