Repointing of visitors center limestone walls at lincoln boyhood national memorial.description: on or about june 12, 2019, the national park service (nps), midwest region, missouri major acquisition buying office, intends to issue a request for quotations (rfq) 140p6218q0020 to solicit quotations for repointing of the limestone walls of the visitors center at the lincoln boyhood national memorial visitor center, park address: 3027 e. South street, lincoln city, indiana.
The contractor is to furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, supplies, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to repoint the visitor center walls at lincoln boyhood nm.
1. Work will consist of removing loose and damaged exterior mortar joints and repointing the limestone and sandstone block mortar joints with new mortar on approximately 1, 600 square feet of the interior and exterior of the historic building. Where applicable, the block faces will be cleaned to remove discoloration. Discoloration affects approximately 100 square feet of the wall's surface.
2. The contractor is to limit on-site work hours between the hours of 6:30 a.m. To 5:00 p.m. Central standard time, monday through friday; unless otherwise agreed to in advance by the government. No work will be allowed on weekends and federally-recognized holidays without prior approval from the contracting officer's representative (cor).
3. The building will be occupied and inhabited by park staff, visitors, and guests throughout contract performance; therefore, contractor is expected to coordinate with the park's representative and conduct the work so as to minimize disruption to park operations to the extent practical.
4. All work required by the project documents, which will be posted with the solicitation, will be accomplished by the contractor even though minor items/services required may not be specifically mentioned.
