IFC-s Advisory Services in Public-Private Partnerships (“IFC Advisory”) has been engaged by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (“GoK”) as lead transaction advisor for a second round of competitive solar procurement to select a private partner through a competitive tender to design, finance, build, operate and maintain solar photovoltaic (“PV”) plants on up to two distinct sites, tentatively located in the Talas region of Kyrgyzstan, with a total capacity of 200-300 MW, with each site having a capacity of 100-150 MW (the “Project”). It is envisaged that, on one or two of the sites, the solar PVplants will also include battery energy storage systems (the “BESS”).
