Description

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101 requiring dissemination of information for proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source fixed price contract and is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals. The statutory authority for this sole source procurement is prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

Background: The Embassy requires the services of a local legal company to provide non-litigation legal support, specifically in interpreting and ensuring compliance with Ukrainian labor laws in line with U.S. Department of State requirements. This support is essential to the effective day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office.

A local firm brings necessary expertise in Ukrainian legislation, language, and administrative processes, enabling timely and accurate legal advice on employment matters, including contracts, terminations, and policy compliance.
