The main objective of this ITB is the Rehabilitation of Karantina Solid Waste Management Facility that were damaged by Beirut Port explosion on 4 August 2020.The Rehabilitation Works consist of construction and equipping works needed to bring Karantina Facility back to its normal operation (whetherat partial or full processing capacity depending on the budget allocated for the current rehabilitation phase). Financed by the World Bank, the rehabilitation of the damaged and non-operational Karantina Facility will be implemented by UNDP. The rehabilitation of this facility will be executed underthe LFF (Lebanon Financing Facility) Project - Beirut Critical Environment Recovery, Restoration, and Waste Management Program, in close coordination with the Ministry of Environment (MoE) and the World Bank. Through this ITB, UNDP is seeking to contract the services of an eligible and qualified contractor to execute the rehabilitation works through a competitive bidding process.
