The project is located at the intersection of Francis Road, Sparkes Road and Ellis Street, Lawnton. The project scope includes the reconfiguration of the existing roundabout controlled intersection to traffic signals, including signalised pedestrian crossing facilities, pathway renewal and widening, on-road bicycle lanes and additional traffic (turn) lanes to all approaches, raised medians and landscaping. The project includes widening of Francis Road between Sparkes Road and West Dianne Street.The objective of the project is to improve capacity of this intersection and safety for all users. The project will ensure that the intersection of Francis Road, Sparkes Road and Ellis Street functions appropriately for expected future traffic volumes.The requirement of the tender is to reconfigure the existing roundabout controlled intersection to traffic signals including but not limited to: (a) Demolition of existing infrastructure, (b) Minor public utility relocations, (c) Stormwater drainage installation, (d) Earthworks, (e) Pavement construction and surfacing, (f) Concrete footpath, (g) Concrete kerb and medians, (h) Traffic Signal Installation, (i) Street Light Installation, (j) Landscaping, (k) Ancillary worksA Tender briefing will be held on Wednesday 06/11/2024 at 10:00 am via an online video conferencing platform.
