Launcher (LAU-118) (V)4/A
The LAU-118(V)4/A launcher attaches to aircraft with 30-inch lug suspension and is capable of launching a single AGM-88 High-Speed Anti-Radiation Missile (HARM). The LAU-118(V)4/A launcher provides mechanical and electrical interface between missile and aircraft. Electrical interface is provided thru the Aircraft Launcher Interface Computer (ALIC) (enables launcher to be used on F-15 and F-16-s). Stores fired from this launcher are ignited and missile thrust propels store to slide forward, disengaging from launcher, and flying to target. The LAU-118(V)4/A contains critical safety items with specific testing requirements, including a special purpose branched electrical cable assembly (P/N 704AS4008) and a spring cartridge assembly (P/N 704AS4005).

CAUTION:
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements to produce, test and repair services for the LAU-118. No foreign participation in this requirement is allowed.
The AMSC/AMC will be either 1G or 2G, to have a competitive environment. The TO supporting this effort is TO 11L1-2-20-1. All reference material is up to date.
The USG maintains Configuration Control. The Government does own and has access to the data for LAU-118. The Government has determined that this system is not a commercial item.
Contractor shall furnish all material, support equipment, tools, test equipment, and services. The contractor is responsible for providing, maintaining, and calibrating all support equipment required at their facility or a subcontractor-s facility. Contractor furnished material or parts used for replacement shall equal or exceed the quality of the original material or parts.
