Proponent shall provide specific skills, comply with relevant standards, codes and offer technical services to enable confirmation of the University-s early scoping, to continue design, documentation, and review construction of smaller capital projects on campus. These will often involve renovation of existing exterior spaces, the development of new spaces and/or maintenance of existing facilities. Consultant must be capable of delivering technically competent work of a high quality and value to the University. Please note in the category of Landscape Architectural Services, working knowledge of the following are critical:• the University of Calgary-s Design Standards (available on the UC Website), • the University of Calgary-s Indigenous Strategy - ii-taa-poh-to-p, • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system, • the principles of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CEPTED), • local plant species (including drought resistant) and availability of material, and• unique challenges of the Calgary climate.
