Project Description: The Authority is pleased to announce the publication of the Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ) for Land Autonomous Collaborative Platforms (LACP) - Project NYX competition. This procurement is exempt from the Procurement Act 2023. Project NYX is a flagship opportunity for industry to partner with Defence and shape the next generation of autonomous systems. The Army seeks to develop an Uncrewed Air System (UAS) to pair with the Apache AH-64E attack helicopter as an autonomous crewed platform. The ACP will operate in a highly autonomous, "commanded not controlled" manner to perform multi-mission tasks in contested airspace, including reconnaissance, target acquisition, strike, countermeasure defeat, and future integration with Launched Effects (LE). The ACP will enhance the lethality and survivability of the crewed platform and do so with a smaller logistic footprint and lower maintenance requirement relative to the crewed platform. This procurement will cover the LACP Capability Concept Demonstration (CCD) phase, planned to run until end FY27/28. The CCD will enable the MOD to prove the LACP concept, provide learning to mature the LACP project and inform requirements for a Minimum Deployable Capability (MDC). Opportunities will be sought to work with a number of selected companies during the CCD phase. This is to ensure that learning opportunities are maximised within budget and increase the chance of success. Further information about this opportunity was previously published within the Project NYX Prior Market Engagement Notice (PMEN). This notice links to the PSQ that Potential Providers must complete if they wish to take part in this competition. The Authority intends to invite up to 7 Potential Providers to tender for LACP CCD. A PSQ Guidance document is saved in the Supplier Attachments area which contains a summary of the PSQ questions, instructions and evaluation methodology.
Notes Potential Providers should note that the Authority intends to limit participation of Potential Providers under this PSQ and the resultant Invitation to Tender for LACP to suppliers that are legal entities incorporated in the UK under the Companies Act 2006 and registered to trade in the UK, its Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories (“UK Suppliers”) only. All Potential Providers must submit evidence that they meet this limitation within their response to this PSQ. The Authority reserves the right to exclude any Potential Provider(s) that are not established in, controlled or mainly funded from the UK, its Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories from participating in this competition.
