Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is FDA-RFQ-24Q1275732. This requirement is issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation is issued as a total small business set-aside.

The solicitation documented and incorporated provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC-2024-03, Effective 02/23/2024. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325120 with a small business size standard of 1200 employees.

The US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) intends to issue a Commercial Item Firm Fixed-Price purchase order that meets the requirements herein the Lowest Price Technical Acceptable (LPTA). A list of line item number(s) and items, quantities, and units of measure (including option(s), as applicable) can be found in sections vi and vii of the solicitation.

BACKGROUND

The dry ice delivery to the FDA San Francisco District Office and Laboratory (DOLAB-SF). The dry ice ensures successful preservation of the FDA Import Operation frozen samples, and during transport and shipment to the laboratory for analyses. Maintaining the collected samples in compliance with FDA Compliance and Laboratory standards and regulations.

OBJECTIVE

The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, and transportation as necessary to deliver dry ice to the FDA San Francisco District Office and Laboratory for the period of one (1) base year plus four (4) option years.
