Tender Details

Microbiology Laboratories in both Saskatoon and Regina are seeking a Laboratory Automation Solution for specimen processing in phase I of the implementation. In phase II, dependent on available funding, both laboratories would be seeking the remainder of the Total Lab Automation Solution for culture examination, workup, and reporting, that would integrate with the specimen processing Equipment. The SHA intends to increase workflow and staffing efficiency with this instrumentation. As part of this effort, SHA has initiated a review in phase I to automate specimen processing at both the urban centers and in phase II automate the remainder of microbiology culture examination, workup, and reporting. SHA invites vendors to provide proposals for the supply, installation and training of Lab Automation Solution in Microbiology Labs at Regina and Saskatoon locations. The selected vendor/ vendors will benefit from a long-term relationship with a world-class health organization.

Additional Information:
This RFP sets forth the key requirements for Lab Automation Solution in Microbiology Labs and solicits a detailed response from vendors that shall include service, quality, technology enhancements, pricing, and performance commitments. SHA is exploring procurement in phase I for two (2) Specimen processing Automation units – one each at Regina and Saskatoon locations. In phase II, should funding become available, SHA would seek to purchase remainder of the two (2) Total Lab Automation systems for microbiology labs, one each at Regina and Saskatoon locations. It should be noted that space is at a premium at both facilities therefore outside the box thinking is welcome when developing a proposal.
