Project Description : The Resource Stewardship Division (RSD) of Alberta Environment and Parks (AEP) is responsible for providing credible scientific data and relevant information on the conditions of Alberta-s environment. The department-s mandate is to provide the timely and objective monitoring, evaluation and reporting of data and information on air, land, water and biodiversity, including information necessary to understand cumulative effects, in order to better inform the understanding of the public, policy makers, regulators, planners, researchers, communities, and industry. This RFP will establish contracts with commercial laboratories to provide the analytical services for the following: • Analysis of total phenols in sediment• Analysis of naphthenic acids in sediment • Analysis of total trace elements in sediments • Analysis of total mercury and total methyl mercury in sediments • Analysis of parent and alkylated PAHs in sediment • Analysis of total organic carbon (TOC) and total organic nitrogen (TON) in sediments• Analysis of isotopic composition (d13C, d15N) in sediments• Analysis of particle size distribution in sediments
