KV Flex Driven by the energy transition, energy consumption in homes is electrifying at a rapid pace: many more EV charging stations, solar panels, heat pumps and home batteries are being added. This causes an increase in the peak load on the electricity grid, which has an impact on the higher network surfaces, thus causing congestion. By using devices that contribute to peak loads in a smarter and more flexible manner, we can shift or reduce energy consumption, prevent overload, and thus save space. create on the net. We want to achieve this by using flexibility in the consumption and generation of electricity by small consumers; mainly consumers. This means, for example, temporarily limiting EV charging station capacity upon request temporarily switching back or off the heat pump or discharging home batteries during anticipated peak loads. This creates flexible capacity, or “flex” for short. The three major distribution system operators - Enexis, Liander and Stedin - purchase this flex capacity from aggregators; parties that are able to unlock this flex capacity from their customers and offer it to, for example, system administrators. You can find all relevant information in the Purchasing Guidelines below regarding this congestion management service. This request is published by Alliander on behalf of Enexis, Stedin and Liander.
