Konnerud artificial ice - cooling system
The track is used both by sports teams, schools and the local community and functions as a social gathering point. After a leak at the start of the facility in 2025, extensive rust formation was discovered in the brine tubes. The purpose of the acquisition is to rehabilitate and upgrade the existing cold storage facilities at Konnerud Ice Railway to ensure stable operation, reduce maintenance requirements, improve energy efficiency and increase operational reliability before the ice-laying season 2027.
