Procurement description Project background and goals Sodankylä municipality implements Better paths, stronger attraction - the Sodankylä route investment project, which has been granted funding through the Federation of Lapland under the Justice-oriented Finland 2021-2027 program of the Renewing and Competent Finland from the transition fund (JTF). The goal of the project is to develop the areas of Kommat and Kuolpuvaara into year-round, safe and attractive outdoor, camping and nature tourism destinations. The project will improve the area's service level, accessibility and operating conditions for tourism and new opportunities are created for the development of nature tourism, program services and other tourism business. Target of the procurement The target of the procurement is the design of rest stop structures to be implemented in the Kommat area, manufacturing and construction in operational condition. The contract includes at least:- realization of the semi-detached house in operational condition- implementation of one Aurora Spot stay and observation platform in operational condition- foundations of the structures, materials, transportation, installation and finishing work - cleaning up the work area and restoring any terrain damage caused by the construction The goal of the Aurora Spot structure is to act as a place to observe celestial phenomena as well as a tourist attraction as an attraction factor.
