Tenders are invited for Kimberley Alcohol and Other Drug Services - Low Medical Withdrawal Beds.

The Mental Health Commission (MHC) is seeking to expand the number of beds in the Kimberley for alcohol and other drug (AOD) low medical withdrawal. The optimum number of withdrawal beds has been identified as four beds located in the Kimberley region. However, the number of beds and their location will not be fixed in this Request allowing Respondents to demonstrate that they are responding to current consumer needs across the Kimberley region. It is not a requirement that beds are located in the same place.

The provision of low medical withdrawal services in the Kimberley will provide the opportunity to reduce the gap in services currently provided and the modelled demand outlined in the Western Australian Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drug Services Plan 2015-2025 (the Plan), enabling specialist AOD community treatment services to be delivered into rural and regional areas of need.
