Juvsaa g/s bridge
The bridge superstructure was demolished by the land vessel on one side, but on the other side the river excavated the loose masses under the land vessel so that this was destroyed. It was neither expedient to reuse the bridge superstructure or land vessel after the damage, and the construction has subsequently been removed in its entirety from the site. Parts of the adjacent g/s road towards the bridge were also destroyed. At the road bridge over Juvsaa in Eikavegen, the river found a new course and destroyed parts of the road down towards the bridge. The bridge itself was not damaged, but it is desirable to floodproof the watercourse so that there is greater certainty that it will not be damaged in the event of any new flood situations. The delivery includes a new g/s bridge over the Juvsaa, with cast-in-place earth vessels and bridge superstructure consisting of prefabricated concrete elements and cast-in-place cover. Furthermore the delivery includes a new g/s road on both sides of the river and a retaining wall along the g/s road on the east side of the river. The western riverbank is to be flood-proofed with a retaining wall upstream and downstream of the g/s bridge. Finally, the river bank upstream of the road bridge in Eikavegen will be flood-proofed with a plaster ring, and Eikavegen will rectified.
