Historic England is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced organisation to design and deliver a teacher professional development programme in the South West of England. The programme will focus on building teachers- confidence, capacity and capability to use local heritage and the historic environment within curriculum-based teaching and learning. It is not intended to provide one-off workshops for pupils, but to support teachers and schools to embed local heritage learning in a meaningful and sustainable way, supported by appropriate local heritage partnerships and Historic England resources.
