The RNT/IRCC project involves a relocation and expansion of the existing activities on campus. For the RNT rooms project, 10 lead-shielded rooms will be built, each equipped with an insulation shaft. In addition, the department includes supporting areas such as a nursing guard, storage spaces and additional MIVA sanitary facilities. The dirty water discharge from the rooms, coming from the toilet, sink and shower, will be collected in a separate room containing a water purification system. For this For the entire program, strict standards apply regarding radioprotection, both in the shielding of the walls, ventilation and sanitary water and water purification. The IRCC project is part of this program, including its spatial expansion the RNT program and the IRCC program are contained in one large shell project. After completion of the shell construction, the filling of these spaces can start. The IRCC program includes the conversion of an existing zone into 2 IRCC rooms and supporting areas such as bedside guard, scrub, workplaces and storage space. In addition, this zone will be expanded with a technical room on top of the zone of the 2 IRCC rooms.
