Tender Details

The subject of this award procedure is the conclusion of a contract for the delivery, installation, commissioning and maintenance (i.e. maintenance and repair) of a proton therapy system for the MedAustron ion therapy center, which meets the following minimum requirements:

•The ProTone therapy system has an output of at least 220 MeV for protons;

•The proton therapy system will be approved for placing on the market and commissioning as a medical product for human medical proton therapy in Austria at the time of acceptance;

•The proton therapy system ist gantry-based and has a movable beam guide;

•The modality of beam application of the proton therapy system is by pencil beam scanning;

•The proton therapy system is suitable for the proton therapy treatment of at least 300 patients per year;

•Part of the Proton therapy system is a patient positioning system and a patient position verification system (2D and 3D imaging);

•The size of the treatment field of the proton therapy system is at least 20cm x 20cm;

•radiation therapy treatment of complex cases, among other things in the areas of ENT, CNS, skull base, intracranial, gastrointestinal, lung, sarcomas and breast tumors in a clinical environment that is as open as possible is possible;

•The proton therapy system has a gating interface for the treatment of moving tumors;
