The target of the procurement The employment regions of Helsinki, Espoo-Kauniainen, Vantaa, Tampere region, Turku and Oulu region (later C6 employment regions) are preparing separate early childhood education teacher training programs organized in collaboration as recruiting workforce training studies. The procurement is intended to be implemented as workforce training (act on the organization of workforce services, §61). The goal of the training is the rapid employment of the participants in the early childhood education teacher positions. The planned duration of the studies is about 14-16 months, the scope of studies approx. 70-75 credits. The studies to be completed are organized in such a way that the studies include 1-2 face-to-face teaching periods, real-time and afternoon-focused distance learning, independent study and group work, and practical on-the-job learning and training in an early childhood education unit. The classroom teaching included in the studies must be organized during the first 4 months of the studies. The location of the local teaching will be determined later during the procurement preparation. The trainings are targeted primarily for bachelors and masters in education who are clients of C6 employment areas, who lack the qualification of an early childhood education teacher, as well as for bachelors and masters in education working on a fixed-term contract, who lack the qualification of an early childhood education teacher and who are therefore under the threat of unemployment.
