Tender Details
The uinta-wasatch-cache national forest, located in northern utah and southwestern wyoming, is publishing a pre-announcement for a concession prospectus to be issued in spring, 2018. A 5-year special use permit with a 5-year optional renewal will be issued with an anticipated effective date beginning january 1, 2019. The 5-year optional renewal may be issued non-competitively at the discretion of the forest service upon satisfactory performance. The permit is for operation and maintenance of approximately 115 developed recreation facilities including campgrounds, picnic areas, boat ramps, swim sites, marinas, and trailheads. The special use permit will include facilities with an estimated $4.5 million gross revenue.
Due to the number of sites in the prospectus, and the geographic expanse of the forest, it will only be possible to visit a few selected sites per ranger district when an official tour and meeting is scheduled in 2018. Some high elevation sites do not open until july. Therefore, the forest is inviting interested bidders to visit on their own during summer, 2017 while sites are open and operational through september. Bidders will be allowed to travel through facilities.
This is an optional self-guided visit with no formal meeting or tour scheduled. A preliminary prospectus facility list is uploaded to fedbizopps https://www.fbo.gov/ along with the uinta-wasatch-cache national forest visitor guide which contains maps and forest information. Detailed site or prospectus information is not provided at this time. Additional facility information is readily available on-line and links are provided on the prospectus facility list.
This pre-solicitation notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation, prospectus, or request for proposal. Further, the forest service is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. The u.s. Government will not pay for any information, ...
