Intraoperative imaging In this assignment, UZ Leuven wishes to purchase an advanced system for intraoperative imaging. The new system will be used in surgical procedures on the skull and spine neurosurgeons, orthopedic surgeons, trauma surgeons and maxillofacial surgeons. The system must be able to provide high-resolution imaging for both spine and cranial surgeries. The system must allow real-time imaging to support surgeons during complex procedures. Applications include surgery for spinal deformities, degenerative and traumatic spine surgery, skull base surgery, deep brain stimulation (DBS), stereotactic biopsy, etc. Due to the area of application, compatibility with a surgical navigation system (image guided surgery system) is essential. This may involve your own navigation system, or a navigation system from another company.
