synopsis:
slga imports beverage alcohol from countries around the world, and requires the services of a qualified company(s) to manage its international freight forwarding, including consolidation and ocean freight services (the "services").
slga''s freight forwarding & consolidation services include:
picking up cargo purchased on ex works terms from suppliers'' facilities
receiving cargo purchased on fca terms
storing cargo until it is consolidated for shipping
consolidating less than full container loads of cargo at a consolidation facility into full container loads of cargo;
transporting cargo from the consolidation facility to the applicable port of loading; and/or
consolidation services may also require transportation of full container loads of cargo from a supplier''s facility to the applicable port of loading.
slga''s ocean freight services include the transportation of container loads of cargo by ship from various ports of loading to container terminals in montreal and vancouver. requirements are for both dry containers and protective service containers of beverage alcohol from the shipping points described in this rfp to both of the above named container terminals.
