Kinn municipality intends to enter into a contract with Renasys AS for the testing of a module based treatment system at Stranda treatment facility. Justification for direct procurement (pointed) The solution from Renasys has distinctive features that, in combination, mean that Kinn municipality considers that there are no real alternatives that together fulfil the relevant need combination. This is due to both technical conditions and protected rights, cf. The Utilities Regulations § 17-5, cf. § 9-3 first section, letters b nos. 2 and 3: • Documented results in the particle spectrum 40-5 μm, achieved through chemical-free series filtration. • Module based plug-and-play design with low energy requirements and little area requirements, which can be scaled and integrated with existing infrastructure without extensive reconstruction. The system also has future potential for stand-by and relocation where the need is greatest. • Option for integrated sludge handling/dewatering, which reduces complexity and total sludge handling need. • Integrated data platform for 24/7 real time operation and analysis, which enables continual optimisation, traceability and R&D evaluation. • Rights protection/patented components that limit technologically equivalent systems from other actors.
