INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEGENERAL INFORMATION Network Contracting Office (NCO) 22Attn: Charity CazeeDepartment of Veteran Affairs3601 S. 6TH Avenue, Bldg. 45Tucson, Arizona 85723(520) 792-1450 Ext. 16236Intent to Sole Source: The Government intends to make a sole award firm-fixed-price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) 6.302-2 Only One Source in conjunction with FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. The requirement is for Research Statistical Modeling and Cognitive Assessment. This is a research program to characterize individual differences in EEG measures of information-processing as well as clarify the pathways through which deficits in information-processing affect functional outcome. He has shown that not only can several event-related potentials (ERPs) measured using EEG be feasibly used in multi-site clinical studies, but also that these ERPs are general measures of impaired brain functioning that affect functional outcome via impaired cognition and increased negative symptoms at the Jennifer Moreno VA Medical center located in San Diego, CA. The intended source is Dr. Michael Lee Thomas, 4119 Attleboro CT, Fort Collins, CO, 80525-3445. In accordance with FAR Part 6, contracts awarded using this authority shall be supported by a written justification and approval described in FAR 6.303 and 6.304; as applicable, the justification will be posted within fourteen (14) days after contract award. The Government will consider all capability statements received by this synopsis's closing date. The Government's determination not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the Government's discretion.
