The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 8, intends to negotiate a sole-source contract under the authority of FAR part 12.102(a). Professional Communications Inc (PCI) is the sole service provider for Puerto Rico and will provide all necessary efforts to install per the manufacturer s specifications. This is to comply with the requirements of VHA directive 2009-004 and TJC regulations. A service contract for four months is anticipated and shall be awarded. Due to the proprietary nature of the equipment, a factory-certified field service technician from PCI is required to provide software and equipment installation and support services, which may consist of software updates, troubleshooting, remote troubleshooting, training, and re-training for users, adjusting, and replacing hardware.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available.
