THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Contracting Office (Code 400), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed service contract to FEI Company. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be from approximately:
Base Year: 7/11/26-7/10/2027
Option Year I: 7/11/27-7/10/2028
Option Year II: 7/11/28-7/10/2029
Option Year III: 7/11/29-7/10/2030
Option Year IV: 7/11/30-7/10/2031
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Service contract to provide preventive maintenance, software updates, and technical support for Scanning Electron Microscope (Thermo Fisher Model Prisma E SEM and accessories).
FEI Company is the only authorized repair and maintenance service provider in the United States. FEI Company is the only company with access to performance resources to maintain the original operating specifications for Prism E. FEI Company Certified Technicians are the only trained technicians available to service the equipment.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) has been determined to be 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $34 Million. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is J052 Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild Of Equipment- Measuring Tools.
