THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.

The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Contracting Office (Code 400), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed service contract to General Cable Industries. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be from approximately 6/1/2024 - 5/31/2025 plus four (4) option years.

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - Power Supply Calibration & Preventative Maintenance

This requirement is to provide calibration and preventive maintenance services against six (6) Phenix technologies power supplies and motor test systems. Phenix Technologies/ Doble Engineering CO. recommends that all aftermarket services for its proprietary designs, including parts, onsite troubleshooting and repair, preventative maintenance and annual calibration be performed by the original manufacturer. The NAICS code for this acquisition 811210 - Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a small Business Size Standard of $34, 000, 000. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is J049: Maintenance/repair/rebuild Of Equipment- Maintenance and Repair Shop Equipment.

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 3 April 2024 at 0900 AM Pacific Time.
