Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE:(THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE)

The 4th Fighter Wing Contracting Squadron, Seymour Johnson AFB, NC intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Stolberger Incorporated dba Wardwell Braiding Co, Cage Code: 6Z3C0. Stolberger Incorporated will provide one braiding machine, Cobra 450 24 Carrier model P1 with a motorized pulley, heavy cover guard setup for wire application. The machine will be in compliance with the standard braiding machine used across the Air Force in Aircraft E/E shops, and Technical Order 1-1A-14. This sole source approach will ensure project timelines are met, minimize integration risks, and provide the necessary technical capabilities. This machine will allow 4CMS to locally manufacture CFT wire harness part numbers 68A768451/68A768452. This purchase shall be made under FAR part 12 and 13 procedures; FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) Other than full and open competition applies. The circumstances of this contract action deem only one single source is reasonably available.

However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing information describing their ability to provide the product listed above. A determination by the Government to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.The closing date for this notice is 1 July 2025 at 1300 (EST).
