THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. A DETERMINATION NOT TO COMPETE THE PROPOSED PROCUREMENT BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT.
The Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Contracting Office (Code 440), hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole-source, firm fixed service contract to General Cable Industries. The contract is expected to be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). A Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared. The period of performance shall be from approximately 18 JAN 2023 through 17 JAN 2024
INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - FIBER CABLE BLOWING MACHINE
This requirement is for approximately 52 week lease of MIL-SPEC fiber optic cable blowing machine. General Cable is the only source available for shipboard approved blown fiber optic equipment. General Cable holds the license technology from BICC for Blown Fiber products and installation equipment used aboard CVN class ships.. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 532490 - Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing with a small Business Size Standard of $35, 000, 000. The Product Service Code for this acquisition is W060: Lease or Rental of Equipment: Fiber Optics Materials, Components, Assemblies, and Accessories.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; no solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 21 NOV 2022 at 11:00 AM Pacific Time.
