Description : UNICEF is looking for institutional or individual consultant for the consultancy in Child Protection area.

The purpose of the consultancy is to enable UNICEF to support the HLU to institutionalize child justice and gender mainstreaming capacity for strengthened access to justice and protection of children in contact with the law, women, girl and boy survivors of gender-based violence.

The assignment aims at the following concrete objectives:



Strengthened quality of the HLU child justice course for undergraduate law students, through (1) improved syllabus/curriculum and course materials, and (2) enhanced capacity for selected lecturers, especially on case-method teaching, using real-world cases that pose thought-provoking problems/dilemma for students to resolve;

Concrete recommendations for stronger mainstreaming of gender in the HLU core curricula to equip future law practitioners with essential knowledge and skills to respond to the needs of women, girls and boys, including stronger protection of GBV survivors during judicial processes.
