Within the framework of the Biennial Work Program (PBT) 2026-2027 signed between the Ministry of Health (MINSA) and UNICEF, actions are implemented aimed at strengthening Primary Health Care, maternal and child nutrition and the prevention of chronic malnutrition through the PROCOSAN Maternal and Childhood strategy. As part of these actions, the MINSA requires standardized educational materials that support the training, counseling, and communication processes for changing behavior and support for pregnant women, mothers, fathers, caregivers and health personnel at different levels of care. These materials constitute support tools to promote appropriate nutrition, feeding, breastfeeding, monitoring child growth and development, as well as the adoption of care practices during pregnancy, the neonatal period and early childhood. In order to ensure the timely availability of these materials in the SILAIS and prioritized health facilities, UNICEF will manage the reproduction of the educational materials defined by the MINSA, guaranteeing compliance with the quality standards required for their use in training, education and health communication.
