Description: Austrian Power Grid AG (hereinafter referred to as APG) plans to replace the conductor cables on the existing 2-system 220 kV line Tauern - Weißenbach as transmission system operator in the federal states of Salzburg and Styria. With this rope replacement, the existing 340/110 conductor rope is exchanged for an identical new 340/110 conductor rope. The conductor cables will be exchanged system by system, whereby the parallel second system will be in operation. The earth rope is not exchanged as part of this measure. The rope exchange also includes the manufacture, dismantling and recultivation of the access roads, all protective measures, and it is also noted that over 450 rope connectors of various types and years of construction are installed in the existing systems.
