Ink Abrasion Resistance Rub Testers
Description: the bureau of engraving and printing (bep) is seeking to acquire four (4) ink rub testers, two (2) for its durability laboratory located at the bep s washington, dc facility and two (2) for the durability laboratory located at the bep s fort worth, tx facility. Under this requirement, the contractor shall provide the ink rub testers to assist the bep laboratories evaluate the wet rub resistance of printed currency samples when subjected to various chemical stressors. The bep performs rub testing of printed currency samples to determine the abrasion resistance of currency inks, and seeks information about ink rub testers designed to test the abrasion resistance of inks printed on paper or other substrates.
