This request for information concerns the procurement of footwear and related services and ancillary products planned by the Police Board. Tenders are being prepared because the current contracts of the Police Board for footwear are expiring in the spring of 2023.All police units and the Aland Police Authority can act as subscribers to the products and services in accordance with the agreements. The Crisis Management Center is also involved in the future procurement, which will make its own contract(s) based on the tender.
The goal of the Police Board is to publishrequest for tenders in November-December 2022 and to have the contracts come into force as soon as possible in the beginning of 2023. The public procurement and right-of-use contracts law ('procurement law', 1397/2016) is followed in tendering the procurement. The procurement can be divided into sub-areas, the supplier of whichthe contract is made according to the criteria stated in the request for tender. The division of sub-regions and the number of contract suppliers to be chosen are confirmed in the request for tenders.

The goal of the information request is to obtain comprehensive information about the characteristics of the products and services, i.eaccessibility and other matters related to the procurement for tendering.
