The assignment of the consultancy will be developed within Central, West Bekaa and Baalbek areas.

1. Program Summary/Scope of the consultancy:

Solidarités International (SI) is implementing a project titled “Optimizing Women Entrepreneurs and Rural communities- livelihood through Environment friendly and Climate Smart initiatives” funded by CDCS, which main objective is to improve local living conditions and livelihood opportunities in Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel Governorates. The project is focusing on capacitating 200 farmers to adopt sustainable and climate smart agriculture practices to improve their productivity through the establishment of 10 Farmer Filed Schools. Also, the project is willing to establish at least 2 informal farmers groups that fill an essential role of coordinating and representing farmers- socio-economic interests on a local level. SI intends to support the establishment of 2 input supply farmers- groups that will focus on ensuring that agriculture products are sold within a predetermined price range, enhance collective bargaining power, enabling better prices and access to resources, sharing expertise and resources within the group, effectively managing risks, safeguarding against uncertainties in farming, advocating for farmer-friendly policies, and amplifying the influence of small-scale producers etc.


Therefore, SI is seeking a trainer consultancy to provide support in the establishment of informal farmers committees/groups and interpersonal skills training program for 2 groups of farmers, 10 to15 person each.

The financial proposal needs to outline the following details:

The Consultant assumes full responsibility for all applicable taxes, national insurance, or other contributions arising from the fees or monies received in connection with this Agreement. The Consultant is obligated to indemnify and protect SI from any taxes, including VAT, national insurance, or other contributions, as well as associated costs, claims, penalties, interest, expenses, or legal proceedings.
If applicable, the Consultant must mention the VAT on his financial proposal and submit VAT invoices for the Consultancy Services.
If the Consultant is not registered for VAT or MOF, the supplier is obligated to pay a Non-Residential Tax (NRT) for a 7.5% of the total amount. This sum will be deducted from the overall invoice price.
