The purpose of this notice is to update industry regarding Defence-s planned industry engagement activities for AIR3503 over the next six (6) months. Distributed Ground Station Australia (DGS-AUS) is an Air Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capability used for Joint effect. DGS-AUS uses Processing, Exploitation, and Dissemination (PED) processes and systems for timely transformation of collected data, extraction of meaning from that data, and the transmission of the derived intelligence to those that require it. To be successful, Defence anticipates that the capability will require commercially derived ICT and/or new technology to be integrate with a number of military specific systems. AIR3503 will incrementally transform the DGS-AUS to provide an augmented intelligence enabled PED capability, and better enable the PED of a greater volume and velocity of ISR data. AIR3503 will include a multi-source fusion capability for data collected by airborne ISR platforms, in order to provide timely actionable intelligence for the Joint Force. The DGS-AUS capability will function as part of the wider Defence and coalition ISR PED enterprises. Due to the size and complexity of the requirements, the AIR3503 project is planned in three tranches : Tranche 1 (T1) - Uplift of the current DGS-AUS (Interim) capability (Baseline DGS-AUS); Tranche 2 (T2) - Enhanced DGS-AUS; and Tranche 3 (T3) - Advanced DGS-AUS.
