Tender Details

Brief description of assignment:

i. Manage the e-gp application in development, staging and production environment. Provide support in quality assurance testing and testing of recovery plans.

Ii. Continuous update the application with the security requirements and analyze, design, product planning, development and deployment in line with business requirement. Maintain and ensure that application coding is written as per standard secure coding practice (code review/peer review).

Iii. Update design documents, software requirement specification of e-gp. Implement and follow change management process for making application changes within structured process.

Iv. Maintain application performance by applying application/ web server`s best practice performance tuning configuration, implementing new releases, applying required patches, completing maintenance requirement and evaluating of computer/ server operating system and hardware products. Submit sla reports on application`s uptime objective every month. Periodic load, performance and stress tests are required to be conducted.

V. E-gp application management including migration, installation, configuration, trouble shoot of web and application server, application backup and restore as per policy and application release management with versioning.

Vi. Support capacity development initiatives by continuous exchange of knowledge between team members, providing training and conducting session on technical issues within e-gp technical team and cptu. Also work closely with the database administrator, development team and network team to make required enhancement, modification of e-gp application and implement those in development, staging and production environment maintaining separation of duties within team.

Vii. Writing and maintain e-gp system`s technical document including user manual.

Viii. Any other task assigned by the management related to e-gp.
qualification & experiance required:i) application administrator must be a graduate in computer science/ computer engineering/ information technology or equivalent.

Ii) application administrator should have cutting-edge skills and high level professional knowledge with at least 5 years of proven work experience in design, coding and managing of application, installation and maintenance of applications and web servers.

Specific skills and experience:

1) proven experience on multi-tier web application architecture using object oriented development principles in java/ java ee, jsp, ajax, servlets, netbean,, sql server.

2) certification on enterprise architecture (i.e. Togaf) or equivalent would be an added advantage.

3) hands on experience in installation, configuration, performance tuning of application server (apache, tomcat, jboss etc.) by applying best practice.

4) proven experience on developing web services under java platform including xml, xslt, xsl and interfacing with third party application.

5) experience in using software testing tools and vulnerability assessment tools are an added advantage.

6) excellent oral and written communication skills
