The subject of the public contract is the delivery of an indirect calorimeter. An indirect calorimeter can accurately measure the value of an individual's basal metabolism, i.e. the energy needed to ensure the basic vital functions of his organism. In a special closed area therefore, the respiratory quotient is measured with the indirect calorimeter, i.e. the ratio of the volume per time unit of exhaled carbon dioxide to the volume of consumed oxygen. In addition, it is also possible to determine which energy substrate the individual primarily consumes as a resource energy.
