To date the UKVN has invested £110M to support the development of vaccines for diseases that have outbreak potential. In the last 8 years IUK have delivered a £85M programme of work, specifically aimed at the development of platforms and vaccines that will have utility in Low- and Middle-Income Countries against diseases of epidemic potential.DHSC have just committed a further £45M, for a 4-year in the programme, to be delivered by IUK, to invest in on-going projects and new platforms and technologies.
