Description:

the department of foreign affairs, trade and development (dfatd) has a requirement for the provision of professional services. The consultant will provide a team to conduct independent verifications and confirm the degree of achievement of the outcomes of the “agroemprende cacao” project in colombia. The 36.6 million dollar project is implemented by the canadian non-governmental organization socodevi and aims to scale up canadian best practices in agricultural cooperatives to expand cacao crops, emphasizing the role of women in these businesses.

the purpose of this notice is to invite formal costed proposals from eligible consultants. Based on proposals received, one consultant will be invited to negotiate a contract with dfatd for the provision of services. Dfatd reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received. The amount allocated to this contract is estimated at one (1) million canadian dollars (can) excluding applicable taxes.

the services are expected to start in september/october 2020 for a period of five (5) years.
