Assignment Description
This consultancy envisages to support the World Bank to: (i) analyze the policy, the institutional and planning framework of Albanias bridge infrastructure and DRM; (ii) prepare the appropriate set of guidelines for incorporating DRM into the bridge management system; (iii) provide recommendations for the selection and prioritization of bridge investments advising on the inclusion of disaster and climate risk considerations into the selection criteria and process under a Bank-financed project in preparation, (iv) review and verify that all DRM recommendations are incorporated into project feasibility studies (under preparation by a separate hired consultancy) and v) Carry out the economic analysis and the estimation of co-benefits for a Bank-financed project in preparation according to World Bank policies. The Bank financed project will consist of the construction and update of bridges in Albania.
