The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of Richmond VAMC is conducting Market Research through this Sources Sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Businesses, capable of providing In-Vivo Radiation Measurement System that meet the following: Functions to be performed; System for real-time monitoring of radiation dose using small radiation detectors that can be placed on the patient s skin or in a cavity. Also used to determine radiation dose received by cardiac devices (pacemakers, etc.) for evaluation of possible radiation damage to the device.Performance required; System must support a variety of radiation detectors covering a range of photon energies (6MV 18MV) and electron energies with both directional and angularly independence.Must support a minimum of 6 channels to allow multiple radiation measurements to be acquired in a single treatment.Must support a wireless connection between a remote connection for the measurement devices and a monitoring station.Essential physical characteristics; Remote station must be rechargeable.System must be able to measure doses up to 30 Gy per detector.Must include detectors no larger than 2mm x 2mm for point measurements.All respondents shall indicate/provide the following: Whether or not they are small business manufacturers of the products they wish to offer, or if they are a reseller of a small business manufacturer.
