In the Central American context, and particularly Honduras, the multiple challenges associated with emergencies and the care of internally displaced people due to natural disasters have motivated coordinated efforts by the IOM. Through the project “Humanitarian Response for Internally Displaced Persons and Returned Migrants with Protection Needs in Honduras.”, financed by the United Nations Central Emergency Funds (OCHA), the IOM seeks to strengthen the capacities of preparation and response to emergencies that affect people in mobility situations. With the development of this intervention it is intended to contribute to Strengthening and conditioning the infrastructure of the CAMR BELEN, San Pedro Sula, in the department of Cortés, with the aim of offering more dignified and safe care both to the people who use its services and to those who, day after day, are dedicated to providing such assistance.
