1. The Philippine Rice Research Institute, through the Corporate Fund Budget for 2019 intends to apply the sum of FOUR MILLION PESOS AND 0/100 only (PhP 4, 000, 000.00) being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for the Improvement of Cold Room Including Supply, Delivery and Installation of Additional Cooling System at PhilRice Main Building at PhilRice Central Experiment Station under PB Infra 19-04-13. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.
2. The Philippine Rice Research Institute now invites contractors with PCAB license of at least Category C & D/ Small B for the Improvement of Cold Room Including Supply, Delivery and Installation of Additional Cooling System at PhilRice Main Building with the following specifications:
SCOPE OF WORKS:
Floor Area: 54 sq.m.

I. Site Works
-c Removal of Existing Door (See Plan for Location),
-c Restoration of Door Opening and Seal Existing Hole (See Plan for Location),
-c Removal of Existing Sandwich Panel Flooring at Dryer Room,
-c Installation of HDPE Foam and HDPE Sheet at New Cold Room,
-c Chipping of Existing 30cm X 30cm Vinyl Tiles,
-c Repair of Existing Pre-Insulated Wall and Ceiling,
-c Cleaning and Floor Preparation and Site Clearing.

-c Installation of New Digital Temperature and Relative Humidity Control and Monitoring System, Combined with New Sets of Temperature and Relative Humidity Sensors.

Completion of the Works is required within One Hundred Twenty Calendar Days (120 CD). Bidders should have completed a contract similar to the Project. The description of an eligible bidder is contained in the Bidding Documents, particularly, in Section II. Instructions to Bidders.
3. Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding using non-discretionary -œpass/fail- criterion as specified in the 2016 Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9184 (RA 9184), otherwise known as the -œGovernment Procurement Reform Act.-
Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens/sole proprietorships, cooperatives, and partnerships or organizations with at least seventy-five percent (75%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines.
4. Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Philippine Rice Research Institute and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
