The Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR) is in the process of establishing a project management unit to assist The CDR and “Railway and Public Transport Authority” (RPTA) in the implementation of The Greater Beirut Public Transport Project, now invites eligible local experts ("Individual Consultants"), to indicate their interest in providing the required Task. Interested individuals should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Tasks by submitting their Expression of Interest ("EOI") and Curriculum Vitae("CV").
The CDR will negotiate a contract with the most qualified individual consultant for a contract of
11 months subject to renewal for the below positions:
- Urban Roadway Design Engineer (Based in CDR)
- Finance Officer (Based in CDR)
- Transportation Engineer (Based in RPTA)
- Project Administrative and Information & Communication Technology (I.T) Expert.
(Based in RPTA)
Also CDR will negotiate a contract with the most individual consultant for a contract of
deliverable based for the position of “Procurement Officer/ Procurement Specialist”.
EOIs and CVs must be delivered to the above mentioned address not later than 12 o-clock noon
Beirut Local Time on Thursday October 10th, 2019.
Responsibilities:
? Lead the supervision and approval of the roadway and traffic operation design components of the
BRT project.
? Make sure that the BRT roadway and pedestrian infrastructure is designed with the highest safety
standards possible.
? Participate in the supervision of the functional and operational design.
? Participate in the supervision of the construction phase of the BRT project.
? Assure that the BRT design complies with high safety standards, with emphasis in the safety of
vulnerable users of the roadway space: pedestrians and non-motorized vehicle users.
