BackgroundThe DIVOC solution developed by the eGovernment, India, was implemented in December 2021 for Jamaica in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The MOHW's intention is to migrate these services to on-premises private cloud storage located at the eGov Data Centre in adherence to the Jamaica Data Protection Act, 2020 and to minimise monthly operational expenditure. The DIVOC (Digital Infrastructures for Vaccination Open Credentialing) solution is an open-source platform developed by a Non-Government Organization (NGO) in India for Jamaica's Digital Documentation of the COVID19 Certificate. This is primarily used in Jamaica to generate digitally verifiable vaccination certificates. The DIVOC solution is currently hosted on AWS Cloud Storage. However, the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) intends to migrate this solution to the local on-premises servers in the eGov Jamaica data centre.
