Title: Implementation of a solution for searching images of the collections of Bnf Gallica
Subject: The object of the contract is the initialization, on behalf of the BnF, of a database dedicated to the census and the description of each of the individual images (or illustrations) attested withinn documents from the digital collections hosted in Gallica, the BnF's digital library. The first component of the project is the automated processing chain which must, from a batch of digitized documents, extract (by segmentation) all the unitary illustrations withtheir precise positional coordinates. The second component is the production chain of textual type indexing expected for the illustrations extracted during the previous processing, the storage model for this information and the characteristics of the search engine API thati will have to exploit them.
